does it start and run normally otherwise? If so, replace the beeper.

          Re: 97 GTX no beeps

Im doing an overnight charge so the battery is not available right now. I did however open the grey box in the front and found a 15amp fuse that was blown. The carry case right next to it said speaker so Im thinking maybe that was it. I will know more in the morning after I put the battery back in. Im hoping maybe thats the same issue that was causing my info gauge to turn on and off as I was riding yesterday.

Ok it's an electrical problem somewhere. Each time I try to replace the front fuse it blows.

Look at the stator assembly or ignition pickup for a short circuit.

Sorry and I don't mean to sound dumb but since I am new to these units could you give me a little more description of where I am looking? Am I just following the leads from the battery and making sure they are tight? or am I looking for something else? Thank you for the help this site has been awesum and a tremendous help!!!!

The stator is behind the flywheel - pull the engine, pull the flywheel and check everything out in there. Tech articles, engine install/removal guides...
