  • 96 Monte Carlo 900 need starting fluid to start

I have a 1996 Tigershark Monte Carlo 900 that runs great after I get it started but the problem is that I have to use starting fluid to start it. After it runs for a couple of minutes, I can turn it off and it will start without using the starting fluid. After it sits for a day, I have to start this process over again. Can someone please tell me what the problem could be and how to fix it?

back out the low speed adjusters 1/4 of a turn and that should help with cold starting.

Make sure the choke is fully closed when you try to start it and don't give it any throttle untill it starts.

I'm obviously not a mechanic and have limited knowledge of the mechanics of a jet ski. Could you please tell me where to find the low speed adjusters?

Thanks in advance for the help.

T handles on the carbs. Look at the tech articles on adjusting and rebuilding carbs.
