    Re: new engine siezed

I think no fault warr means you get another motor but im not sure. But have bill install it then if something is wrong you have someone to fall back on not yourself. I myself am an auto tech but if something is wrong major with my auto I have the dealership do it that way if it happens again they have the problem of fixing it not me and the fact that they will foot the bill if the same thing occurs! I have used these forums for lots of good answers and these guy's know there stuff so just listen to them and do what they say and you will get it figured out.

you have much to learn yet grasshopper

If you call Bill, and let him put in your new motor, which he is offering to do, then it is done. I've been in your position, I've blown up many a motor thanks.

Nobody will fix it via your keyboard and monitor.

        Update:

I get the analysis back from SBT saying it was a RING SNAP. so i guess i was right in thinking it was neither mine nor Bills fault, but SBT's?

a ring snapping is not SBTs foult but they cover anything that happins though there warranty . what coused the ring to snap ? ive seen many OEM rings snap and you can be sured getting a dealer to cover anything is a nightmare .

it doesnt' say waht caused the ring snap, but when we talked to them on teh phone they said that it had to so somethign w/ the porting. like it wasn't properly smoothened out.

              Re: new engine siezed

If it was noted that the cylinder had incorrect chanfer, causing the ring snag (not snap), then yes that is SBT's fault. It would have happened almost immediately after using the engine. Any snag after an hour or more of use is almost certainly not assembly.

then i think that was the problem. because it was acting this way from day one. however, the more i ran it. the worse it got. and we failed to check teh compression on that cylinder as Bill was explaining to me the compression change.
