  • 94 GTX fuel problems

94 GTX, pour gas into carbs, starts and runs, but only until fuel in carbs runs out. Replaced pulse pump and checked the vaccum from crank case, seems to be working well, but no fuel coming from the tank. Pulled the filter, everything looks good, blew through fuel lines but not getting fuel to carbs. After I pulled fuel filter, by cranking the engine, no fuel went into the fuel filter bowl, had to suck some in to fill this up but still not going into the carbs.

    Questions

Is there anytype of fuel pump like on yamaha's.

Whats the best way to get the carb's off on this boat. The motor is a 650.

I do have good compression in both cyclinders.

    Help

    Thanks,

    Mitch

    Re: 94 GTX fuel problems

If you're sure you have no obstructions, and don't have an obvious problem like the fuel lines reversed on the carbs, get two rebuild kits and rebuild the carbs. All PWCs use the same type of fuel pumps at or near the carbs.

Did this just start suddenly or what? What's the history here?

The unit was given to me in this condition, the previous owner said they think the carb's need rebuilding but before I tear them down I wanted to eliminate other areas first.
