Default Seadoo 4 tec sc impeller replacement very easy!

I finally got enough nerves to change my impeller on my Seadoo 4 tec sc.

Well it took 10 min to drop the pump. I stated disassembling the pump.

Pull off the cone thinking I was going to find jet pump oil, and it was jet pump grease. After about 70 hour of use the grease looked new.

I had to got to auto zone to find an i think numer 12 allen wrench along with the impeller tool to remove impeller.

I mixed some fiberglass up and spread in the wear ring to fill in the gaps.

After it dried. The new impeller (seadoo oem impeller) cut the excess out of wear ring as I put it in.

Put it on the water to test. Taking off out of the hole very fast.

Top end 60 mph. I am very satisfied with the install. Itís been very easy with the right tools.

Purchased impeller on ebay for $99.00 at the end of the summer things seam to go cheap.

If you are a little mechanical you can do this job.

    You will need

    Impeller tool

#12 allen wrench to remover impeller

    allen wrench to remove cone.

    Metric sockets to remove bolts

Socket extensions at least 10 inches

    Bearing grease

    Synthetic grease

    Impeller

    Medium strength lock tight

The hardest part of this job was getting the impeller out of the wear ring.

I think I could replace the impeller in about a hour from start to finish.

    Regards,

    Kelvin

I bet that the fiberglass that you spent all of that time and money on is all gone by now, It certainly will not adhere properly to the wear ring material.

If your wear ring is damaged the ONLY PROPER REPAIR is to replace the wear ring!

Send your old impeller to Impros www.impros.com , and have Dave re-condition it for you, that way you will have a perfect impeller as a spare.
