  • 95 WR1100 start/stop switch problem

Ski wont start unless i unplug the stop switch harness. If i pull the key out,it wont turn off, as soon as i plug the connector back in, the ski shuts off.
I'm thinking its the start/stop switch assembly. Should i check anything else before purchasing another switch assembly?

as it's running, jump the white wire to the black wire inside the harness side of black handlebar switch connection to kill the engine which checks these two wires.

Ski started up fine today, must be a intermedate short somewhere.
all the switches are working now, go figure.
But as always it wont just end there. After close inspection i noticed the rear main seals were out. The motor is from sbt and i still have warranty..

Know of a cheap source for a switch assembly for a 1990 SJ?? This would probably help the WR1100 person too :)

And don't even say Parker Yamaha. I am still waiting on an order from them....
