i have a 96xp today when i put gas in it i had 2 bars from full, i went out to lake michigan today and jumped some waves and now my gas gauge has the red light on by the gas pump and there are no bars. did i finally break the gas gauge sending unit? i know everything is stock meaning the sending unit for the gas gauge.

Check the float inside the fuel baffle, the magnet probably broke off, you can buy them for around $10....

      Re: gas gauge

i took the baffle out yesterday and found that the bottom of it was missing, there was a tiny square magnet that was attached to the other side of the baffle the electronic side, where do i get the magnet for the float and how does it go in there.

is it worth messing with or should i just replace the whole thing?
      thanks
