  • HELP! water flooded gsx

    i have a 1997 seadoo GSX with a 787 motor.
the ski was completly submerged and filled with fresh water.
i have a tech book and followed everything to the letter except for the part about draining the oil.
it says to pull the plug under the filler cap on the pto side....theres no filler cap or drain plug on my gsx....i have a another seadoo same year and motor and it has it but the gsx does not...theres like a casting place for the filler and drain but was not installed.
how do i drain it when theres no drain plug?
oh and it was not running when it filled with water, but the inside of engine was full

it's funny how 4-5 threads have the same problem. you should watch the video on clearing your engine of any water.

make sure the engine is clear of water. as far as teh oil drain plug? i dont know, i cannot help you w/ that. i dont see why there woudl need to be a drain plug. oil is alwasy pushing oil into the crankcase.
