  • pulling off 787/800 flywheel

I was wondering if there is any way i can pull of the flywheel w/o having to remove the magneto cup. by looking at the mag housing, i can use the starter indent and the one exactly 180 to it(indent) for the flywheel puller that have fingers. could two fingers be enough to grab the flywheel and pull it off? or do i need to grab at least 4 points on the flywheel?

has anyone every removed the flywheel this way? or was it done by the traditional screw type puller. thanks.

Yes you can simply remove 3 of the mounting screws for puller use, that leaves 3 holding the magneto cup - that's how most people do it.
