'97 CDI 1100 Specs Needed

I purchased a '97 1100 CDI for my '96 1100 Waveraider. Everything is pretty much the same with the exception that the '97 CDI has a 4 wire sq connector with 3 white(stripes) and 1 BLACK wire. The '96 has just the 3 white(stripes) in a flat 3 prong connector. My question is, where does the extra black wire go on the '97? Can I leave it hanging or can I ground it to the chassis? Also, are the resistance specs the same from the '96 CDI to the '97 CDI? Does anybody have the resistance specs for the '97 CDI, I already have the specs for the '96.
