  • Jet Pump Bearing loose

I have just removed my jet pump to service and check over bearings etc. After i removed the pump from the craft I noticed the impellor cone has slight sideways movement prio to unbolting from the impellor housing. On disassembly I noticed the metal bearing housing appears loose in the plastic impellor housing.
I would consider to manufacture this item the bearing housing would be either pressed in to the impellor housing or have some sort of spigot and locknut arrangement. On the impellor side there appears to be a small 4mm pin hole in the end of the bearing housing which could be to take a lock spanner of a sort.
I have not tried to force it untill I check that this end will unscrew.

Can someone please advise best course of action.

    Regards

The plastic housing is molded to the aluminum or bronze insert, if it is loose, you need a new jet-pump housing...
