Did I do good?

I just bought a 1998 GTX in need of an engine rebuild for $750. Did I do good on the price and with a new motor what would it's value be?

Machine is in great shape other then engine problem.

Thanks to all in advance. This site has helped me in the past so much. Must times I don't post I can just read and find my answer.

Just make sure that you know why the motor died so that it doesn't happen again......ie: If you motor died due to a lean condition from the carbs, then you'll spend a lot of money on a new motor, put the old carbs back on again and then probably blow your new motor (as an example).

So, if you don't know enough about what you are doing then get a pro to make sure everything is ok.
