  • Winterizing bear minimum

:D Hi, just wondering what the bare minimum I need to do to winterize my ski's. I have 2ea. 04 seadoo gtx S/C . Just took them to the river about 5 times. I think i have 40 hours on them. I store them down there and really don't want to have to pull them back here. I would like to do it down there and leave them there. What do you think. I thought most people just pull the batteries until I read all the other posts about the subject. Kinda amazed me!!!

fuel stabilizer in the tank, run for a few minutes top off tank.

remove fuel rail, spray SD lube in the cylinders, put in drown mode and crank for 10 seconds.

take battery out, fill with water if needed and put on battery maintainer or charge 1 X/month

next year you'll have a bit more. Buy a shop manual in the off season.

Is that the grizzly or black version?

:emoticonn should chage the pump cone oil......if you have a leak and it sits all winter, you might get rust on the internals......if you live where it gets real cold, antifreeze in the water lines too......

Although 4 tecs don't use pump oil (unless you modded it) it is a good idea to see if water made it into the pump bearings. Good catch.

No, you pack the pump by hand with special grease.
