    1989 Kawaski 650 jet ski

Got alot of the same reponses....Thank you!!! Mostly the response was to use dielecletric grease on the connection of the plugs and the threads. Took it out today(sorry have to rub some noses in the beautiful weather sunny and 77). Got it started and it would idle, but as soon as you put any body weight on it it acted real sluggish, then would die. It Did idle around back to me, but really could'nt keep it running. Any other ideas??? Just FYI, Did take in fresh water three weeks ago and road the heck out of her.....HELP, I wannna ride!!!!

Ran a compression test. Not sure what they should be at, but both are reading 100. Please advise

Buy a can of silicone spray. Spray the entire engine and electrical box and battery top where the cables connect. Spray the connector from the start stop button and all wiring.

My total loss boat did this very thing the first time i sat it into salt water. That is when someone handed me a can of silicone spray.

If your plug wires arent in very good shape, the salt water makes it much easier for the spark to short to ground. It might be time for plug wires or a coil. start up the eninge in the dark and see if the plug wires are shorting to ground somewhere.
