96 zxi 1100 no start

hey there,
i've had my 96 zxi1100 for a couple of years and never had a problem. i have just replaced the battery for the 1st time since i've owned it. i took it for one ride with no problems and on thesecond time i got no start.
i have dash lights, gauges and trim, but nothing else. i do get a voltage drop at the battery when start button is pushed, but nothing else.
any ideas if this could be a fuse or something else other than starter motor.
any replies would be appreciated.

how much of a voltage drop are you talking about? hold the start button 5-sec or so. then read. does the solenoid close? do you get power to the starter. hear any weird noises? starter cable get warm? could be a bad starter,maybe even a bad battery or connection.please do a couple more checks and let us know what else you may find.good luck troubleshooting.
