I pulled the stator out of my DI. The case was mucky with oily bilge. At the bottom of the case it had a considerable amount of oil ( few ounces ).
It looks like the oil pump is fine.
What should I use to rinse the stator with to clean it?
Should I get new O rings?
Corrosion appeared on the first plate that has the two cooling hoses connected (by the oil pump). The corrosion was just the gray coating was bubbling off. Is this corrosion a problem?
What should I do to fix the problem?
