  • RAVE question

Do your standard or premium 800 sd engines come with RAVE valves? I see in the picture of the engine the RAVE's are attached, just checking. I'll be placing my order any day now, I just want to get the old engine out and ready to ship prior to ordering(since core delay looks to be frowned upon) Thanks!

    Re: RAVE question

Yes they all come with RAVE valves. You have 2 weeks from the time you receive the new motor to send back the core.

      Re: RAVE question

Thank you much, I'll just have it pulled out and ready before I order. Is it possible to get(request) a 97 and up model engine(sd800) as I would prefer to have that counterbalance setup for the ski I am building. Thanks! (I will pay additional if nescarry).

It's 1996 and up, and that is all we produce in the first place.

            Re: RAVE question

there are no video's in the sbt video section in witch the rave valves are explained, so wouldn't it be a good idea to make one?

              Re: RAVE question

That's a good suggestion. When we get the time this year, we will certainly consider it.

                Re: RAVE question

now i'm on it, i have another good idea, and that is a video from the
oilpump, because that little piece off equipment is almost
the most important thing on the engine, because they fail now and then
                and ruins the entire engine.

maybe you also could read my topic on pwctd and give your
                oppinion on it.

                  Re: RAVE question

I'm not sure the oil pump needs a video - there's really nothing to show.

well, i must dissagree with that, because there are many
parts in them, and it would be very helpfull if we knew how
to check them from, if and how they work, and if they still
give enough pressure, so that you can deside to replace it.

                      Re: RAVE question

You can't replace or rebuild the internals if they are broken, only complete pumps are sold. I have a thread on here where I took one apart just so everyone could see it, if you want to know: http://www.sbtontheweb.com/forum/sho...5&page=3&pp=15

This thread is now way off-topic. If you have any other suggestions for videos please start a new thread. Thanks.
