  • engine alignment

    i got a new eninge for my 95 montego DLX and put it in with the same shims that were in it from the factory. should i get a alignment tool or can i just eye it? could the ones that were on it be right and just don't even mess with it?

    Put them back where they were and you shold be fine.

        Put a straight edge on the couplers and make sure they are straight. Also measure the with of the couplers at top,bottom, and side to side. This will tell you if the engine is straight. If not the rubber dampener will wear out fast. That ski is the same as most Yamaha's.
