My '84 JS550 leaks significant water into the engine compartment after I ride it. After 10 minutes of easy riding, 3 inches of water is in the hull. I have checked the bilge siphon system and it is fully open. I have checked the coolant hoses inside the engine compartment, and they are not leaking. The seal around the engine lid is not leaking. I have run it in the water, roped to the dock with the engine lid off, and can see no water leaks and no water fills the engine compartment. Yet, if I take the ski out on the water and ride it for a few minutes, water is in the hull when I check it at the dock. If I ride it for longer periods of time, about half of the engine compartment fills with water. I am puzzled at this and cannot figure out how the water is getting in. What could it be?
