Hi i have a 1990 kawasaki 550, so hear is the problem. the ski will not rev out. if it is on land and i start it i can hold the trottle and it will just crap out, almost sounds like hitting a rev limmiter. so this is what is confusing me, if i let the ski run out of was for a min, (let it get hot) the ski will rev out very well. i have put a new head gasket on and a new sbn carb. the ski has an aftermarket head and a west cost water box. please let me know where to start with this thing. every i talk to says it sounds like a broken reed. this is a piston port engine.
