1100 zxi wiring-help

I am putting a SBT motor in a zxi that was totally disassembled by someome else and I want to get wiring right. Right now it has the red cable from the electric box starter relay attached which goes to the statter motor. Right above that there is another terminal which now has a long black cable attached. This confuses me. A red cable from the battery (+) needs to attach to the eletric box and I would think this is where it need to go. What is this wire for and were does it go. There is another Black cable which I assume goes from the starter motor to the Battery(-). Is the other blach cable a ground and does the battery red cable properly attach to terminal where the black one now attached. thanks for any help.

Yes there should be a positive lead from the battery to the relay. It sounds like someone rewired with a black cable.
