    951 engine light

    SBT 951 engine starts idling around 700 rpm and engine light comes on. Idle starts at 1300 and then falls to 700. Also notice a light spray of black oil on flywheel cover. Maybe unrelated, but, fuel level gauge is not working as well.

    The fuel floats on Sea-Doos never last. Your dealer can order you a new float or sending unit.

    Set idle to 3000 out of the water.

      The 700 rpm reading is in the water. I have it set at 3000 rpm out of water. She idles fine and then seems to fall off to 700 rpm and then engine light comes on. Give her a little gas and light goes off and idle usually returns to normal (1300rpm) any idea what this light spotting of black oil would be on the top of the flywheel cover?

        What year and model is this?

        As for the oil you'll just have to look around and see where it's coming from - usually it's a leaking line or fitting.

          This is a 2000 SD GTX
          I have looked around but cannot find a source for the oil would a digital be helpful.
