  • how hot should flushed water be?

just got a new cylinder exchange installed in a 750 STS, runs great, but water out of pisser is very hot, too hot to keep my hand under. all of my other skis, the exhaust water is warm to hot, but not too hot to touch. previous owner complained of it overheating, and one of the original cylinder walls was scored, but i found where the oiler line had come off that cylinder, i figured that was the problem. when we had it apart, i blew out the all lines, just in case.

am i being paranoid, or does a 750 just naturally run very hot water since the water is coming through those tiny lines?

    Thanks

New engines/cylinders are going to run hotter because they are breaking in, and normal temps are up to around 190 deg. It should be hot to the touch, that's normal. As long as you don't have any running problems, see any steam or discoloration, it's nothing to be alarmed about.
