Default Need Help, Water in Engine compartment

My son took our jet skis out today in salt water. He forgot (I forgot to remind him) to put the plug in our 1996 1050. the engine compartment filled up with water.

I know he was trying to start the engine, but not sure for how long until he realized the jet ski was sinking. Once he realized this he pulled the ski out of the water and did not try to start it again.

    What do we do?
