  • 1999 Gtx Rfi Problems

I Put A Sbt Engine In This 99 Rfi, And 6 Hours Later It Won't Run Right. I've Checked The Fuel Pressure, Timing, Tps Adjustments, Plugs, And Compression. Compression Was 110/110. Very Poor For This Model. Timing Is Right, Tps Adjustment Is Correct. Tech Support From Seadoo Said That They Have Seen Cases Where Sbt And Other Rebuild Companies Were Using The Wrong Cylinders On Some Of The Older Units. Does Sbt Even Know Of This?? I Would Apprieciate Any Help.

    Re: 1999 Gtx Rfi Problems

Please post your serial number so I can lookup the records of the unit. Did you call in when you saw it only had 110 psi to begin with? We can certainly take care of that ASAP.

We are aware of two RFI cylinder specs, but frankly if yours worked in the first place, you don't have that issue.

What is your current compression? What caused your original engine to fail and what other repairs were made?
SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.
We try to answer each question quickly and accurately.
