  • Winterizing 2002 4tec

For the past 4 years I have had the dealer do the winterizing, but @ $250.00 plus extra's I want to do it myself this year.

I have read many posts and understand the fogging, spark plug removal with fogging etc.

But what is not clear is if I have to pump in antifreeze into the heat exchanger ride plate through the flush port.

My 2002 shop manual says the following from the "storage section" it says to refer to Cooling Section. The Cooling Section says to refer to the storage section.

I would cut and past but adobe won't allow

Neither section clarifies this part of the storage.

    Please advise thoughts

    Thanks

    Don K

Thanks for the reply but in all 13 pages there is no answer about flushing the heat exchanger with anti freeze?

      Please advise thoughts,

The heatexchanger/rideplate does not need to be flushed, the cooling system is closed loop.
