I have a stock 89 650sx which has always ran great. The last time a took it out it would run fine then just die. I could start it back up and run for a little then it would die again. Could this be a bad ground or a weak battery. It is a low quality walmart battery.

It certainly could be, or you might be siezing -hard to say without info. Did you test the battery voltage and do a compression test?SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.

Have not done either what would cause it to be siezing. It is still hooked up to oil injection, but I beleive it is still working.Comment

There are many causes of seizure. If you see a drop in compression you will need to pull the engine and tear it down to determine the cause.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.

I had the same problem with a 900 zxi...it turned out to be a bad check valve in the fuel tank system....i threw it away and it ran great!:)Comment
