    hi gents
I have a kawasaki 1100 stx i put a new pistons cleaned the carbs the usual things. But i have a question at 30 km/h to 40km/h i have a whiring sound only after certain amount of time. I possibly think it is the jet pump it. The jetski has 220 hours on it do the bearings need changing at this stage of its life. The jetski runs perfect at all other times. The whiring sound is very soft at the moment and changes pitch as it go's over a wave. if i have three people sitting on the jetski i can not hear the sound

    Check the service manual.
I had my bearings go out.
If you are jumping in the surf or using it for towsurfing you can break the motor mounts.
The stress and vibration can cause the fiberglass in the hull to break down. The mounts will not look broken, but the base under the mount will be cracked.
This can cause a misaligment of the engine.
Jumping waves without letting up on the gas can cause the impeller to spin off the shaft.

Pull the pump off for inspection.
