I just bought a used 2000 gp1200r w/ 122hr. on it. I haven't been able to find any information about recalls for this specific year/model. Are there any that I should know of and/or are there any faulty parts that should be replaced.

Also, is it important that I use Yamalube or is this just manufacturer hype?

Any info is much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Also wanted to add that the ski is all stock and I would prefer to keep it as reliable and as stock as possible w/ the exception of any faulty stock parts that must be replaced.

    thanks again!

          I missed the Oil part.

I use Yamalube only in my Yami's...it is not too much more expensive that other brands of equal quality. If you do not use the yamalube,at least use a good synthetic blend...do not use straight tcm3 or plain 2-cycle oil, especially in that motor. Oil is the most critical product that goes into your motor.
