Adjusting Carbs With New Flame Arrestors

I have a 1996 Yamaha Waveraider 1100 and put new flame arrestors on it. I believe they are Pro Ones, but can't remember for sure. I used the recommended settings by the manufacturer, but the ski doesn't run good at all. Off idle is poor, mid range is so so and top end power is down. Any suggestions would be welcomed. What did they suggest ? As compared to stock settings,they should not be too much differant.
