I recently purchased a 2003 XLT1200. I took it out for the first time yesterday and by the display ran 44 mph at 5800-6000 rpm (Fresh Gas). I changed the plugs and picked up 100 rpm. I ran a compression check when I first bought the ski. I do not remember the original numbers, only that they were very close to each other. The only work I have done to the ski is to install wave-eater clips and couplers. Any ideas on where the other 1000-1200 rpm are hiding.
