2001 XLT1200 engine problem
I own a XLT1200 with a pwr valve motor. Im having a starting problem. After riding for about an hour and shuting the boat off, it didnt want to start. It acted like a starter or bendex problem. Took it to the dealer, and they said the crank is bad and its causing my starter to go bad. Ive never heard of a crank being bad and the motor still running. Ive been told that if the crank is bad the motor will not run at all. Any ideas? Im wondering if maybe its just a starter issue and not the crank. this is the second starter. dealer is telling me it needs a new motor or at the least a new bottom end. While running the boat,i never noticed any unusual vibrations, or anything that felt like the crank was out of balance. im totally stumped....
