Does anybody know how bad the rotary valve can be scratched, I am doing an engine swap in my 95 spx, I didnt know if i needed to replace the roatry valve and the cover both are about the same, there arent any grooves but there is some heavy scratching....just not sure what to do next, how will this affect the engine performance.......thanks??

If it snags your fingernail I recommend replacing the valve, and getting a remachined or new cover.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.
