  • 1994 Seadoo GTS Starting issues

I have a 1994 Seadoo GTS I just bought. I took it out on the lake yesterday and it started fine. After starting and stopping it a few times the battery seem to run down and it would not crank over. I then took it back home and charged the battery for 4 hours. It still would not turn over so I went and bought a brand new battery and it still want turn over. All I get when I put the key in it and hit the start button is one click of the solenoid and then nothing. I can release the switch and hit it again and the same thing one click and then nothing. I checked the Fuses there all good and I had the battery tested and it is at full load. Do I have solenoid problems or do I have starter issues and how can I tell which one. Thanks in advance for any and all help. Joe

jump the relay if the engine does not crank but you get a spark then your starter is bad, also check your neg battery cable they rot from the inside out .
you should be able to turn the engine by hand if you remove the PTO cover , if you cant remove the jet pump try again if not the engine is seized .

A friend of mine had similar problem with his 94 XP. He bought a new battery and the same thing "Click". Nothing! I told him to remove all the contacts to the starter and file them to remove any corrosion. He then reinstalled the contacts and it started.

check the engine and make sure the crankshaft rotates using the PTO flywheel to check for any obstructioins.

      Good luck!
