  • SLT 700 miss

My ski has a slight miss at lower rpm's, such as when it is on plane, but just barely cruising. I'm guessing around 20-30mph. It seems fine at higher rpm's but im not sure if i just can't tell then. I just put new plugs in it thinking that was the problem, it helped some but didn't fix it. Before i put the new plugs in i drained the gas tank completely and put fresh in before I ran it. My guess is that it is running a little too lean and is not getting enough gas. It tends to hessitate a second in midrange acceleration. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to correct this problem?

    probably not a miss.
especially if you are around 5000 rpm; very typical of a reed motor.
however, make sure you are using the correct RESISTOR spark plugs.
also, a cracked reed can cause a poor idle, low rpm miss.

you could also have a bit of water in the carb diaphrams, i had this issue with my slt 750, had to remove the carb plates and clean out the diaphram area, and also replaced the dia's
