    I Know Nothing... so if you do need a gpr re-build why not trade down to the non-pv and use the extra money for bolt-ons? more reliable with a small loss of top speed?

      The 2000 uses the 1200pv. They are completely different engines, they just market them with similar names.

        if it took 5 yrs to be reliable then the guy workin on it should not be haha .

        hands down DOO builds the best boats out there , when you put out 10 to 1 of anything you will see more broke . theres so many hack shops and backyard guys out there who dont have a clue how to really make a ski run its not funny , ive been in the biz since the 80s with all the problems i see DOO is the best to deal with , i see it all .

          Ok fastski, maybe you can tell me how NOT to get so much water in my 95 XP? I dont dog on it that much, I do doughnuts and spin it out and stuff, but not too bad. What air intake parts can I block off so there isnt a flood inside my hull? I know that isnt why my last engine went, that was from the moron who had the wrong carbs in it, but now I am confidant that my ski is 100%. How do I NOT blow it up? Also when trying to get back on, when I am tired, and a couple of tries, there is water in my hull, I believe it comes in from the side grates. For just watching other skis and looking at the design it seems like my ski has the worst one for water "consumption". Any imput on this would be greatly appreciated.

            the 95xp only has air intake though the seat , you should not have much if any water in the ski , if you find the leak :) things to check

            1 make sure your bailer hoses are tied up ,if there hanging loose it will couse them to suck in water .

            2 pull your ventrury and check the 2 small Orings if there bad or out of place you will suckup water instead of bail it .

            3 if all that checks out ok , have the ski on a trailor tilted up and fill the hull with water and check for leaks around the rail and pump { dont fill it over the starter lol }

            4 check your though hull fitting and make sure your seals are not leaking.

            5 make sure your flush fitting is not leaking , if the red cap is off and you know you put it back on , its leaking replace it .

            5 check the ventrury for the plastic fittings that hang down there should be 2 white fittings you can see if you look in the back , if there not there get new ones and put them in .
