have a 1996 sea doo gtx 800 sometimes gets a eng miss and will not take off eventually it will take off sometimes will run fine after that sometimes do it again.thanks ron

All older Sea Doo's need to have the carbs cleaned out BEFORE they sieze a piston due to clogged up internal fuel filters inside the carbureators. Most could stand to have about 1/4 inch of wire clipped off of each sparkplug lead and to have the sparkplug caps re-installed into the freash wire for a better connection. If it were mine, I'd do both and clean or replace the fuel selector valve too. If the fuel lines are detiorating, replace them too. That is what clogs up the fuel valves and carb filters.Bill O'Neal <br>
