  • 900 counter balance shaft

I read over in the tigershark forum in PWC today that SBT built tigershark 900 engines come with the counter balance shaft removed.
Is this true? and if so, how are you sealing the crankcase?
I'm in need of a rebiult engine for my 95, but I'm curious about how your product will stand up.
    thanks.

    Re: 900 counter balance shaft

SBT balances our own cranks, the 900 counter balancer serves no purpose with our crank shafts, It only adds weight that is not needed.:)

      Re: 900 counter balance shaft

Good to know, but if I install an SBT crankshaft in my engine, will I have to have some sort of additional seals to take the place of the counter balance shaft after it's removed?

      thanks.

        Re: 900 counter balance shaft

Your end caps are already in your motor, all you do is remove the balancer.
