  • oil on piston

    hi, i have a seadoo sportster twinn engine. the left engine would not spin over so i pulled the plugs and spun in over. its sprays lots of oil out of the spark plug holes. can you tell me what might be wrong? thanks

    If the motor was not recently winterized.....Most likely you have a inner crank seal that has failed, and the oil is being purged from your rotary bath. This will most likely mean a crank replacement.

    depending on how much oil is in there after sitting for a day, you can still feasibly run the motor, as long as it's not too much oil... I had a ski a few years back, same problem. Ran great, but if it sat for a few weeks, the lower end would fill with oil... Cleared it out, started it up and she smoked for a while, but ran great! Your experience may vary..
