  • Fuel tank float

Spoke to a couple people on here in regards to xpdi fuel gauge reading high and apparently there is a magnet in the tank that gets stuck and is why the gauge reads faulty, Anyone ever had the tank out of an 04 XPDI seems to look like a fun job.

Pain in the *** Job. You must remove the motor to remove the tank, But you can get to the sending unit and the fuel lines by removing the seat. There is a black rubber plug under the seat that needs removing and then your in.

Its on the bottom of the sending unit, You should replace it while the sending unit is out.
