I have a 1998 SeaDoo GTX and the starter went out. Is it difficult to change the starter yourself. I was told by a mechanic or two that you have to unbolt the engine and tilt it. I can't even see the starter but its down there somewhere. Then one regular Joe like me on a forum said he did it himself and it wasn't too bad....it just took about half a day. He had to buy a special allen head socket for the exhaust manifold but its better than paying 400.00 labor. Money I do not have.
