Yamalube 2-M VS. other Tcw-3

I recently installed a rebuilt SBT motor into my '96 Yamaha 1100 WaveRaider. I was going to pick up some oil for after break in and am just wondering do I still need to run YamaLube at $40 a gallon or can I go with a Pensoil synthetic or even the West Marine Synthetic?

What I am really asking is Yamalube worth an extra $20 a gallon?

I have read you only need to use the yamalube if you still have the cat converter. If you remove the converter and install a "D" plate you can run any 2 stroke oil.
