  • 03' Polaris Freedom - dies at full throttle

I have a 2003 Polaris Freedom that seems to idle fine and even revs ok, but when you give it full throttle it runs for about 3-4 seconds and then dies. Sounds as if it runs out of gas. But then starts right back up and idles fine again. I changed the float sensor in the tank.. but problem still exists. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    thx

Check the internal fuel filter in the carb, it could be filling up with crap.

thx, will do that, actually may have found a solution. (related to your comment) a friend suggested blocking off the Carb and reving the engine to create suction and pull any gunk out of the jets that may have built up. On a quick (out of the water test) seems like it may have worked. Will be testing in the water next week.

Thanks for the suggestion. Will do this also.
