I will be replacing the crankshaft on this jet ski. I understand all that needs to be done to take the old one off and replace the new one. However, I'm confused on the timing. Are there marks that I should look for when replacing the stator and flywheel that I can just line up and be okay or is it more complicated than that?

align the stator mark to the case halves exactly. thats all there is to it.

you will see the mark on the stator pretty much very easily.

Case halves? Are these two lines or one. I have the manual and I belive these are what you talking about. They would be on the center left if facing the engine.

Is this correct? Which one do I align the stator mark too? Top or bottom?

the engine case is made of 2 parts. lower and upper. when assembled they meet. you are able to see that. align the stator mark to the case halves. that will be your timing mark. tighten up the stator screw to align perfectly with the halves. then put on your flywheel making very sure the fly wheel lock/pin is pressed and securely fastened to the crank shaft.
