  • 95 XP800 no start, fuel and battery lights stay on

so far put a new battery and starter relay in it.

    all fuses are good.

when i hit the start button the lights all come on (like they're supposed to?) but nothing.

the fuel and battery lights stay on even when i take the key out.

do i need an MPEM or CDI or something?

Is there a "click" when you push the start button from the relay?

When you put in the key, does it beep at you? how many beeps?

Dess post/coded key was an opion that year, if this is what you have then the post it self may be bad and would need replacing.

well, if you have a DESS post and no beeps, I would replace the DESS post.

                  Plug-n-play..

Please describe your post... does it have a plunger on it? Or is it a solid piece with a metal dot on the top and a metal ring?

                      It is a coded system.

Your key holds the code, The dess post is just a switch to send the code to the computer to start the machine. You might just have to replace the dess post so it can transfer the keys code to the computer, at that point you will hear 2 beeps and the code is recognized and the ski cranks over.

well, do yourself a favor and just replace the post first when the new box comes in.
