starter check

Hi guys, whats the best way to check the starter while it's still intact on the engine? (Sea Doo 96 GSX). I recently removed engine to work on top end and am debating if I should just install new starter while I've came this far.

Starter works fine, do not replace it.
Since the engine is out, you could make sure that all the hardware is nice and clean so that if you ever have to take the starter out it will be easy.

It is easy to take out anyway when the engine is in the ski, so why replacing it, it might work for a long time.

Offcource you could open the starter and inspect the brushes, I would not.
It's personal opinion.
Imagine you break one of the skinny bolts.
