  • 96 slt 700 Stator

    Tested the stator and its not charging correctly. What is the easiest way to change this out and will I need special tools tools. Thank you.

    You will need a flywheel puller, Most of the time you can remove it while it is in the ski, this is easy on the 3 seaters.

      Thank you. I did it and it wasn't too bad. 2 more questions. I did the carbs on this 96 slt 700 and it runds great but it wont idle correctly and acts as if it is being starved of gas becuase you have too choke it everytime you start it. it will suddenly come alive and take off. I also did the fuel pumps. Next questions. 1996 sltx 1050. Also did the carbs and fuel pumps. Had been sitting for about 3 years. Idles rough and only goes about 25 miles and hr. It wont cut off or anything but when you open the throtle it acts like it wants to take off but wont.
