  • #3 cylinder failure 95 zxi 900

iv'e been reading the forums for a while now and it appears to be a common problem burning the 3rd piston on the exhaust side of these crafts, except i cant find any old post on it. it is an older sbt motor and has some major time on it and has burned the piston on the exhuast side what usually causes this as i have pressure tested the motor and appears to have minimale leakdown so i assume crank seals are okay . i have not gotten into the carbs yet but i would assume it went lean and got hot
    thanks in advance

Carbs should be inspected at least every season before riding, it only takes 1 stuck needle and seat to destroy an engine.
