  • 1996 STX 900 Boggs when trying to accelerate

When accelerating you have to "punch" the throttle several short burst and you take off fine. If you just try to throttle off normal or heavy when pulling someone it will kill itself. Originally thought accelerator pump that shoot the raw fuel for the dead area when first taking off, but all three carbs are shooting raw fuel when trigger pulled fast.
Now thinking that it is loading up and when accelerating hard it is actually too full of fuel and when double accelerating it clears out the extra fuel.
Runs fine after that at stop speed. Although inbetween speed i do hear some poping of the cyl. sometimes at the inbetween speeds.
    Any thoughts .
    Thanks,
    David
