$500.00 to repair lid latch???
I have a 2003 Yahama FX140...The front lid latch is stuck and the local dealer wants $500.00 (+/-) to repair it. Does this seem correct? I need it fixed but this is a little steep for me.I think that I can get the parts and fix it myself if I could only get it opened. I have pulled the handle till I am blue in the face.The dealer says that you have to break the existing latch but It gives some but doesnt soom to want to break.Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

You might have to break it to get it open, Keep pulling try to get it to move, worse comes to worse you break it.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.

Fixed it myself.....took 3 1/2 hours. Big pain but better that spending $500.00..........Comment
